Stay a Spell...

Welcome RV Overnight Members!

Homeplace is proud to be a Host Site for
RV Overnights.

veMembers can book stays on the farm through the RV Overnight website or app: https://rvovernights.com/

RV Guests MUST BE RV OVERNIGHT MEMBERS. Booking is through the RV OVERNIGHT website. Click the link above to be redirected to their site. Guests staying at Homeplace through RV Overnights have the option of electric hook-up and access to a water spigot, or to camp "boondock" style.

We ask our RV guests to park in the "food court" area of our farm.  It's in the wide open field between the white building and the big red Tobacco Barn.

Please note, RVs and tents may not be set anywhere else.

While visiting, guests are allowed and encouraged to explore the grounds, take a hike on the adjoining trails, and even use our fishing pond provided they carry a Kentucky fishing license and release the fish they catch.

Dogs are permitted but we ask they are kept leashed while outside the vehicle.
How it works:
Members of RV Overnights can find us on the RV Overnights site and request booking. They can choose either:
$30 direct donation to stay with no hookups
$45 direct donation to help us pay for water and electric and then can hook up to our 220V electric and run a hose to our spigot outside the metal building.
Do you have to be an RV Overnights Member to stay?
Yes. Their members are recorded and insured, so it makes it possible for us to allow them to stay.  That said, there are exceptions for camping at Homeplace on other special occasions, but those bookings are tied to Homeplace specific events (Example: people can reserve tent camping spaces for the homesteading conference).
Other visitors?
We do not keep regular guest hours but rather hold special events.  That said, photographers and explores may be on the grounds at the same time as our RV guests, but on the RV guests have permission for after dark. The road going throught our property is not a busy one by any means, but it is a public through-way and often times local residents will drive through. The average guest can epect perhaps 2-3 cars passing by on any given evening.
Trash:
RV Guests are entitled to dispose up to one 30 gallon trash bag in our dumpster.  Sadly we do not offer recycling at this time.
