EVENT RENTALS AT HOMEPLACE

Have your special event at beautiful Homeplace on Green River!

Our historic grounds, rustic barns and stunning vistas are perfect for celebrating life's most special moments.  Whether it's a wedding, family reunion, community play or performance, memorial, club meeting, or company picnic we have the space to make your special event the talk of the town.  You can rent just one of our spaces, or opt to have the whole campus and all buildings (except the historic Tate House) all to yourself.  We offer hourly or whole day rental packages which allow additional time for decorating and cleaning up.  We have plenty of parking and enough space to accommodate up to 200 guests within a building and even more for out of doors events.  So many events and people have passed between our barn doors, making your event richly steeped in the history of our community.

OUR SPACES

The Bank Barn

Built in the 1860s, this beautiful barn was built into the bank of a hill, allowing ground access to both the upper and lower floors.  The barn was lovingly renovated beginning in 2010 and completed in 2016.  The main floor of the barn can comfortably accommodate around 100 seated guests, 75 people tables and boasts charming raised stage with new lighting throughout.  The stage area is of course designed for performances, but is perfect for a bride and groom table, a wedding ceremony, group presentations, or even karaoke night! Also worth noting is that the natural acoustics of the space are simply phenomenal. Live music sounds incredible in the space! The barn has two large doors which can be opened to allow guests to easily move about the space.  The high ceiling and sturdy beams throughout allow for renters to decorate the space anyway they wish.

The "Tobacco" Barn

Built in 1940, The Tobacco Barn is sure to please.  This spacious barn was originally built to dry tobacco in, but is now used for a wide number of event.  Classically iconic, the big red barn can be seen from the road.  The lawn to the side is lovely and flat and lends itself perfectly to a ceremony space with the gorgeous barn in the backdrop.  The beams on the inside of the barn are high enough to be out of the way, but low enough to be be easy to wrap with lights or tulle or whatever is needed to make your event that much more special!  The barn can very comfortably accommodate as many as 150 seated guests at tables and more if standing.  The open air nature of the barn and gaps in the board make it the ideal evening even space in the summer and the breeze will help folks stay nice and cool as they enjoy themselves.

The Campus and Grounds

Parking: There's plenty of parking at Homeplace.  The lawn in front of the house can easily park over 50 cars and cars can drive right up to all the barns for easy loading and unloading of decorations, instruments, equipment, or people

Bathrooms: In the middle of the campus, between the Bank Barn and Tobacco Barn is a structure we call the Metal Building.  In addition to the Program Director's office, a First Aid station and large workshop space, the building has separate multi-stall men and woman's bathrooms.  Toiletries are provided.
