Students who come to Homeplace on Green River for field trips get to experience a range of different activities and learning opportunities, as well as explore nature and make discoveries for themselves! Volunteers from the Board of Directors, Lindsay Wilson College and Campbellsville University make up the teaching and class assistant staff for student groups ranging from the 1st-12th grades. Students rotate from station to station and learn about the history of the farm, historical farming practices through time, and about the history of rural South Central Kentucky. Additionally, students get to experience a hike through the Tebbs Bend Nature area and hiking trail where they learn about native plant and animal species and get a fully immersive out of doors experience. Students also get some time to just play and explore outside.
