Homeplace spends thousands of dollars each year maintaining our grounds and manicuring the lawns. We are a non-profit and DO NOT receive money from the City, County, or State to pay for this maintenance, and we must raise the funds yearly to keep Homeplace looking great! We know our campus is the perfect spot for photographers to bring clients and we love to host them! In the past, we have never restricted photographers, but with prices rising and the need for communication about our event schedules, we now require photographers to become members to have access to the grounds and bring clients for sessions. We know that our local photographers will understand and be happy to contribute a very affordable annual membership fee as they use our facilities to further their business and make a profit. Plus, there are some great benefits to membership!

We always love to have more photos from our events.  Photographers have the option of a free membership in exchange for volunteering opportunities!  Contact [email protected] for details.
We do not receive funding from the city, county, or the state and maintaining our large grounds for visitors to explore and enjoy is only possible with the support of donors.

Our Trails

We are proud to host a beautiful Trailhead on our campus, which invites you into the forest to explore the Tebbs Bend Green River Nature Area.  We have a network of over 7 miles of walking trails stretching from Tebbs Bend Road near the metal Green River Bridge, along Green River and up through the crop land to Joe Kerr Road, allowing visitors a wide variety of landscapes to enjoy as they experience nature here at Homeplace.  The portion of the trail which goes through the cropland, the Agrarian Trail, winds it way around almost 200 acres of beautiful cropland and passes by our American Chestnut Nursery Orchard. We know the community will love this unique trail, perfect for folks looking for a little more level grounded hike in the sun.  Our trails are perfect for casual hiking and competitive events.

Open daily from dawn to dusk.

One of our primary goals here at Homeplace is to promote general wellness in our community and provide families with access to the great outdoors of south central Kentucky.  We encourage our region's youth to experience nature and get involved in fitness activities.  In addition to hosting our own events, we invite other organizations, businesses, clubs, and schools to partner with us, or to use the buildings or grounds for their own events! Our trails are perfect for 5/10K fundraisers, local, regional, or state cross country events, and a variety of other competitive outdoor fitness events. We offer significant reductions in our already low rental fees for other non-profits.  Contact Program Director Lyn Stanton to see if a partnership with Homeplace might be right for YOUR group! [email protected].
