Growing Number Choose HP for Wedding Site
Homeplace began offering the farm as a wedding site June, 2012. Since that time sixteen couples have been married at the farm.
Kendra Meurer and Ian Glasscock were married outside of the tobacco barn and the reception was held in the barn. Following the wedding Kendra said, “We knew we wanted an outdoor wedding, something with a simple country theme, very relaxed, laid back…. (we) looked at the tobacco barn and the hill side and decided that hill side is where we would tie the knot. If it would have rained, we simply would have moved the wedding inside the barn. My dad built a white arch, we got hay bales and let the rest of the decoration be the natural beauty of the farm. My family is not from around here but they were really amazed by the place, talking about the property and how beautiful the wedding was. We couldn't have picked a better spot”
Morgan Taylor and Patrick Gabehart were the eighth couple joined at Homeplace in two years. The wedding was held outside adjacent to the tobacco barn and the reception for almost 100 was held in the barn. Mogan said, “The overall idea for the wedding was elegant, vintage, with a little bit of rustic thrown in. I called it pearls, burlap, and lace.”
